Leading Systemic Change Initiatives

Micro-Credentialing
Career Pathways
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, has partnered with Bloomboard to develop a professional learning ecosystem that empowers educators to personalize their own learning. Traditional PD mandates seat time and limits the opportunity to apply newly learned skills to the classroom. Micro-credentials in CMS provide the opportunity for educators to demonstrate mastery through a competency-based approach. CMS commits to provide professional learning with a purpose through personalized learning experiences by synthesizing new ideas with implementation to make an impact on professional practice.

Through a grant funded initiative with DPI, CMS is piloting micro-credentialing around the North Carolina Digital Learning Competencies for teachers.
  • Job-embedded learning
  • Demonstrate the NC Digital Learning Competencies for Educators
  • Receive credits for DLC requirements for license renewal
  • Receive micro-credential badges that you can share on a resume and social media
